Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Associate/Senior Associate to join our Planning and Environmental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Planning, Environmental, and Compulsory Purchase law, with a minimum of 5+ years PQE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality legal services to clients, including planning advice to local planning authorities, housebuilders, and development clients.
  • Manage and control a varied caseload, workload, and risk management in relation to the role.
  • Develop relationships across departments and offices, as well as interact with other law firms and professionals.
  • Assist in the design, delivery, and implementation of system changes, workflow, and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years PQE in Planning, Environmental, and Compulsory Purchase law.
  • Well-developed knowledge in a range of Planning, Environmental, and Compulsory Purchase law.
  • Active in marketing and business development to expand this area of work and gain new clients.
  • Flexible approach to work to ensure client deadlines are always met and clients are communicated with on a consistent and regular basis.
