Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Reed Engineering. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment, site services, and facilities across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond effectively to mechanical and electrical breakdowns across multiple sites, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth production operations.
  • Collaborate with production staff to identify and resolve issues, providing realistic timescales and updates on the progress of each breakdown.
  • Maintain Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules in line with current requirements, ensuring optimal equipment performance and reducing the risk of breakdowns.
  • Identify and implement improvements to enhance factory and plant operations, contributing to energy saving and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Uphold high standards of quality, food safety, and health & safety for products, self, and others, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Participate in project management and contribute to the development of new processes and procedures, supporting the continuous improvement of our operations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of PPM schedules and experience in maintaining them, ensuring optimal equipment performance and reducing the risk of breakdowns.
  • Commitment to quality, food safety, and health & safety standards, with a strong focus on maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Project management skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, with a willingness to contribute to the development of new processes and procedures.
