Job Title: Multiskilled Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Multiskilled Engineer to join our team at Hesketh James Recruitment Ltd. As a Multiskilled Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day engineering function, completing planned preventive maintenance and reactive breakdown using Best Engineering Practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Plant Uptime and Maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
  • Work following GMP, SHE, and TFMS/BRC policy, and complete audits and close actions promptly.
  • Support the team and assist in developing other engineers and machine operatives.
  • Liaise with contractors and issue PTW.
Requirements:
  • Experience as a Multiskilled Engineer from a food manufacturing background, preferably in chilled food, ready meals, or food to go.
  • FMCG experience.
  • Must be electrically qualified with an electrical bias of around 60/40.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including 4 on 4 off days/nights in rotation, with 12-hour shifts.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to manage contractors on site.
  • Ability to work under pressure and happy to work in a chilled environment.
  • Computer literate and able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Happy to roll sleeves up and get stuck in, able to look after all machinery on site, including manual handling, sometimes at height, and in varying temperatures.
  • H&S and Food Hygiene trained.
