Job Overview

The Automotive Operations Director is responsible for overseeing unit operations to ensure quality standards compliance. This includes contacting clients to bring vehicles for repairs, inspecting automobiles to identify faulty components, and supervising technicians for efficient job performance and timely repairs.

  • Conduct price negotiations with clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts and financial information.
  • Monitor inventory to regulate and ensure availability of required vehicle parts.
  • Ensure automotive service staff comply with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Oversee procurement of vehicle parts, equipment, and other items.
  • Evaluate staff performance to acknowledge efficient employees and guide underperforming ones.
  • Listen to client complaints and assist in addressing issues and resolving challenges.
  • Assign and schedule work duties according to staff skills.
  • Follow up with customers to obtain feedback and ensure satisfaction with received service.
  • Attend workshops and study relevant publications to stay up-to-date with automotive service industry developments.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
