Job Title: Marine Engineer - Technical Specialist

Spinwell is seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineer - Technical Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the technical integrity of our vessels, including maintenance and recertification periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Technical Superintendent for designated vessels
  • Arrange, facilitate and oversee maintenance and recertification periods
  • Maintain the material aspects and operational availability of the vessels
  • Ensure the vessels remain certified to all legislative requirements
  • Liaise with the Maritime finance team and Home Office Commercial Directorate
  • Audit contract invoices against agreed and completed works
  • Arrange and oversee all in year reactive maintenance and damage repairs
  • Liaise with the Maritime Control Centre regarding scheduling of all work on your vessels
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring support to CPV crews
  • Identify engineering stores required for the CPV fleet
  • Evaluate defect reports and take appropriate action
  • Undertake material assurance visits if required
  • Monitor vessel usage and machinery servicing requirements
  • Arrange storage for vessels surplus to operational requirement

Requirements:

  • Experience with setting up detailed requirements for work packages
  • Experience in managing major projects
  • Experience in financial control of suppliers
  • Experience in working in a close team sharing projects
  • Experience working with partners and stakeholders in the marine ship repair and maintenance industry
