Job Title: Principal Consultant

RPS Group is seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant to join our Environmental Planning team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a range of EIA projects and providing expert advice on EIA regulations and processes.

About the Role

As a Principal Consultant, you will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop effective EIA strategies. You will be responsible for managing EIA projects from scoping to delivery, ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards and meet the required regulatory requirements.

You will also be responsible for providing expert advice on EIA regulations and processes, including the EIA Directive and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations. You will work closely with our clients to ensure that all EIA projects are compliant with relevant regulations and that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage EIA projects from scoping to delivery
  • Provide expert advice on EIA regulations and processes
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and develop effective EIA strategies
  • Ensure that all EIA projects are completed to the highest standards and meet the required regulatory requirements
  • Provide training and support to junior team members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in environmental planning and EIA, with a degree in a relevant subject and a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role. You will also need to have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

You will need to have a good understanding of EIA regulations and processes, including the EIA Directive and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Regulations. You will also need to have experience of working with clients to develop effective EIA strategies and managing EIA projects from scoping to delivery.
