Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled maintenance engineer to join our team in a food production business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Position

This role involves working on rotating day shifts, performing preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, and responding to emergency breakdowns.

The successful candidate will ensure that all work is carried out safely and correctly, with a focus on minimizing disruption to production.

Key Accountabilities

  • Carrying out regular maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure
  • Responding to emergency breakdowns and resolving issues promptly
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities
  • Collaborating with colleagues to identify opportunities for improvement

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a maintenance role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
  • HNC or Time served or NVQ level 3 qualification
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with typical food and FMCG machinery

Our Offer

  • A salary of £45,800 per annum
  • Overtime at 1.5 times the hourly rate
  • A performance-related bonus scheme
