Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Central Manchester Home-Based Treatment Team. As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery and development of our services, providing clinical leadership and direct care to patients referred to our team.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership to the Home-Based Treatment Team Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
  • Deliver evidence-based care to patients referred to our team
  • Work closely with other teams, including primary care, Drug and Alcohol services, Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) team, and Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs), to provide safe care across points of transition
  • Provide expert advice and input in relation to the care of patients
  • Supervise medical students, junior and non-consultant career grade doctors, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and non-medical prescriber colleagues
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities and contribute to multidisciplinary teaching and development
  • Participate in audit and service development activities
