The Global Trading Unit (GTU) is a key component of GIC's investment strategy, responsible for implementing investment decisions across public markets. Our primary objectives are to provide best execution to portfolio managers and deliver differentiated market intelligence that enhances the investment process.

We are seeking a skilled Trader to join our team in London, focusing on equities trading. As a member of our team, you will be part of a collaborative environment that strives for top-tier trade execution, efficient portfolio liquidity management, and improved asset utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Harvest and deliver market intelligence on single stocks and macro themes to portfolio managers and senior management.
  • Work closely with colleagues from the Applied Research Unit (ARU) and Technology Group (TG) to gain insights from trading data and improve trading technology.
  • Take intra-day and inter-day market timing risks to deliver strong execution outcomes.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of trading experience in equity markets (cash EQ, options, swaps).
  • Affinity for taking market risks and delivering strong execution outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and passion for data analysis.
