About the Role


We are seeking a highly specialist psychologist to join our Tics and Neurodevelopmental Movement Disorders team within the Neurosciences Department at the Evelina London Children's Hospital.


As a highly specialist psychologist, you will contribute to multidisciplinary complex assessment clinics and provide evidence-based direct and indirect psychological intervention to children, young people and families with tics and other movement disorders.


The post-holder will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality integrated care, contributing to diagnosis and formulation of young people's neurodevelopmental, movement disorder and/or mental health needs.


Main Responsibilities



  • Provide highly specialist psychological assessments based on appropriate use of a range of methods.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality integrated care.
  • Provide recommendations for support based on psychological formulation and evidence base.
  • Offer psychological assessments and intervention of children and young people presenting with neurodevelopmental needs.
  • Supervise assistant, trainee and undergraduate psychology students.
