Naval Architect/Senior Naval Architect Role

Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a skilled Naval Architect/Senior Naval Architect with a strong structural background to join their Oceangoing Vessels Team in Portsmouth. This is an office-based role, offering a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge design tools and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design the structural integration of wind-assisted propulsion systems on new and existing oceangoing vessels, ensuring safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with shipyards, classification societies, and other stakeholders, providing technical support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assess and validate structural designs in line with industry standards and engineering best practices.
