Job Title: Tax Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Tax Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic oversight to a thriving tax team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services to our clients.

About the Role:
  • High-level oversight of a tax portfolio, monitoring all commercial aspects of portfolio management.
  • Preparation and review of tax computations and returns.
  • Leading tax advisory work.
  • Allocating work and ensuring teams are ready and able to deliver in line with client expectations and agreed service levels.
  • Reviewing computations prepared by junior members of the tax team.
  • Building trusted client relationships, handling queries and problem solving.
  • Working with fellow department Directors, such as audit to ensure a joined up approach.
  • Monitoring the commercial aspects of portfolio management, ensuring deadlines and fee recovery targets are met.
  • Keeping up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Delegating work to and managing junior staff, overseeing workflow and quality control.
  • Driving business development for the tax function and wider firm.

Requirements:
  • CTA qualified with extensive experience within UK practice.
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or QBE.
  • Significant tax compliance and advisory services.
