About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Technician to join our team at Selwood's Liverpool branch. This position involves performing diesel engine and pump maintenance on customer sites and in the workshop.

This role requires participation in a call-out rota, with a standby allowance and excellent overtime pay.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure safe working practices as a priority, with a strong understanding of PPE requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and customers.
  • Obtain signatures and names from sites to facilitate smooth task processing.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring work areas and vehicles are kept clean and tidy.
  • Complete daily vehicle defect reports to guarantee safety.
  • Perform tasks as set out by instructions or relevant training in a timely manner.
  • Show an understanding of company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • A real passion for learning, with a willingness to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Prior experience working with engines or mechanical engineering, with the ability to understand underlying issues and resolve them.
  • Experience working in plant environments, on-site with customers, and in workshops would be beneficial.
  • Able to listen, take on board information, and translate it into practical solutions.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to growing within the role, open to training opportunities, and eager to learn new skills.
  • Hold an NVQ in plant maintenance or a similar equivalent qualification.
  • Full UK driving license, as this role involves attending site visits and breakdowns.
