About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity to join the ServiceNow team as a Performance and Availability Expert. As a key member of our Technical Support team, you will be responsible for managing and resolving the most complex issues related to ServiceNow instance performance and availability. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the smooth operation of our services and providing top-notch support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical support for ServiceNow instance performance and availability issues, working closely with our customers to resolve complex problems.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to improve ServiceNow performance and availability.

  • Develop and maintain detailed knowledge of ServiceNow technologies and best practices, sharing your expertise with junior team members to ensure consistency across the team.

  • Work closely with customers to understand their performance and availability needs, providing tailored solutions and recommendations to meet their requirements.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues, with a strong focus on problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle), Java, and scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell).

  • Advanced Unix/Linux experience, with a solid understanding of web application stacks and performance degradation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to customers.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Consistent ability to work evenings and weekends, as required to meet customer needs.
