Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior International Tax Specialist to join our team at HM Revenue and Customs. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in strengthening our efforts to close the tax gap and lead on risk assessment and enquiry work end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on risk assessment and enquiry work for complex customers
  • Work closely with Customer Compliance Managers, cross-tax regime technical specialists, policy, economists, and accountants to achieve our goals
  • Provide technical leadership to a team of experienced International Tax Specialists and Corporation Tax Specialists, focusing on building their capabilities through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing
  • Influence policy and contribute to the international tax compliance strategy
  • Develop innovative solutions and build the international tax community
Requirements
  • Significant recent experience in wider International Tax work in respect of multinationals in HMRC, industry, or in practice
  • Excellent understanding of international tax and OECD Frameworks
  • Proven ability to successfully manage and lead complex enquiries or projects end-to-end

Travel may be required from time to time to fulfill this role, for example, to attend customer meetings.
