The Job

We are seeking a skilled LGV driver to join our Transport Team. As an LGV driver, you will be responsible for operating LGV vehicles for the delivery and collection of animal feed products safely, effectively, and efficiently within the law to meet the needs of customer orders and production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver feed efficiently and effectively to generate revenue and achieve fleet profitability.
  • Provide outstanding service to customers, promoting the company brand and identifying customer needs and solving problems.
  • Ensure the vehicle is driven to meet the needs of the company's Operator's Licence, maintaining legal compliance.
  • Work in a safe manner, prioritizing the health and safety of yourself, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Adhere to daily tasks and routines, adopting a flexible approach to enable the fleet to run efficiently.
  • Review and act upon driving style and performance to support fuel efficiency standards.
  • Report and address concerns regarding quality, service, and environmental and safety issues without delay.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • LGV Licence (Class 1 desirable)
  • Driver CPC
  • A flexible approach to work, including delivering bulk feed when required
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships
  • Ability to work independently using your own initiative
