Business Development Manager - Air Freight National Role

Macgregor Cavendish (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced Air Freight Business Development Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development, with a focus on air freight.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers to create a sales pipeline
  • Convert leads into sales and meet targets
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients through face-to-face meetings, phone calls, and other communication channels
  • Understand client needs and develop effective solutions to meet and exceed their expectations
  • Stay up-to-date with the company's services and be able to advise clients on their benefits
Requirements:
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills for initial contact and ongoing communication with clients and business associates
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
  • Written and verbal communication skills for effective communication with a range of people, both internally and externally
  • IT skills, including the use of spreadsheets
  • Decision-making skills and a flexible approach to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Initiative and confidence to start new projects and take ownership of tasks
