As a User Experience Developer for Public Sector Innovation at Capita, you will play a key role in shaping the future of digital transformation within the public sector.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work on a wide range of projects that have a direct impact on the public sector, including developing cutting-edge software solution UIs empowered by state-of-the-art AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop AI product UIs that positively impact the work of hundreds of public sector staff.
  • Spearhead the development and delivery of innovative software solutions that integrate AI capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement user-centered interfaces.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Maintain high proficiency in TypeScript and leverage React framework expertise to drive project success.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in cybersecurity, HTTP, and web communication protocols.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the team through knowledge sharing and mentoring.

About This Opportunity:

This full-time role offers a competitive salary of £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including 23 days annual leave (rising to 27 days with time), paid day out of the office volunteering, access to Employee Network Groups, and company matched pension.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software projects on time.
  • Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to model and design effective data structures.
  • Familiarity with building component-based architectures.
  • Experience with microservice architectures and managing global state in a React-based application.

Candidates must possess:

  • A strong understanding of large language models and their applications.
  • An appreciation for cybersecurity principles.
  • Knowledge of HTTP and web communication protocols.
