Janes is seeking a highly skilled Land Platforms Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the Land Warfare team, you will be responsible for researching and authoring detailed profiles of military land platforms and equipment, with a focus on Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Author and maintain the UGV dataset, consisting of technical profiles for all military-oriented UGVs.
  • Conduct in-depth research on UGV technologies, including autonomy and AI, sensors, and communications.
  • Work closely with peer subject matter experts to peer review products and deliverables, and collaborate on shared research projects.
  • Author news stories, features, and analyses on UGV technologies, and develop bespoke and regular consulting studies and customer briefings.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in an analytical role, preferably with UGV technologies or adjacent industries.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in war studies, international relations, history, engineering, or a peripherally relevant discipline.
  • Passion for military technology and ability to conduct deep research into hard-to-find subject areas.
  • Good understanding of military technology, particularly those relating to unmanned vehicles, autonomy and AI, sensors, and communications.
  • High standard of written English with demonstrable ability to communicate complex and technical concepts to the average reader.
