Aesthetic Field Service Engineer

Join our team as a Field Service Engineer and take on a challenging role in a highly successful and international manufacturer of forklift trucks. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and associated equipment in Inverness. You will work in a local field-based role, offering comprehensive on-the-job training, an extensive benefits package, and progression routes.

The ideal candidate will have mechanical service and repair skills, with engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills. You will be part of a team in the area, working on a range of forklifts and associated equipment. Overtime is available if desired, mostly in the week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
  • Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
  • Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
  • Spares placed in van overnight

Requirements:

  • Plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable
  • Engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills
  • Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
