We are seeking a skilled Claims Assessor to join our Group Protection team at Legal & General. As a Claims Assessor, you will play a critical role in assessing and managing Group Protection claims, ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.

• Assess and triage Group Protection claims, determining the level of medical evidence required to support a claim
• Provide comprehensive assessments of Group Protection claims, determining liability and ensuring compliance with our philosophies
• Cultivate effective relationships with IFAs and policyholders to maximize the effectiveness of our benefit management processes
• Assist in the provision of management data on portfolio accounts, analyzing performance and identifying key trends
• Train, mentor, and develop other members of the claims team
• Develop processes that deliver compliant and consistent levels of service, meeting customer and client expectations

• In-depth knowledge of Group Protection or Income Protection products
• Understanding of medical conditions and their impact on an individual's ability to work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical and risk management skills, and creative and strategic thinking
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and IT savvy
• Strong claims medical assessment skills
