Job Title: HGV Class 2 Ready-Mix Driver

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our team at Maen Karne Ready Mix (RMX) in Hayle. As a key member of our operational team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of ready-mix concrete to various customer locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a company vehicle safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant regulations, current legislation, and company policies.
  • Check the safety and condition of the vehicle at the start of each day and record its condition using the provided system.
  • Care for the company's vehicle and assets while in your charge, ensuring they are used according to manufacturer's recommendations and all legal and company requirements.
  • Drive as efficiently and productively as possible within prevailing road and traffic conditions.
  • Give due consideration to the health and safety of self, the public, and other road users at all times.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed promptly and accurately.
  • Adhere to safe working practices at all times to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  • Represent the company both on the road and at customers' premises in a professional and considerate manner at all times.
  • Support the wider Maen Karne business to deliver its operational plans.
Requirements:
  • Must have a valid HGV Class 2 licence.
  • Must hold a valid CPC and Tachograph card.
  • A willingness to learn and undertake further training on other vehicles and equipment.
  • Strong health and safety awareness and commitment to achieving zero harm.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to deliver 1st-class customer service and develop and maintain positive business relationships.
  • Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
