Job Summary: Low Carbon Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Low Carbon Project Manager to join our Climate Change and Sustainability team. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in contributing to the council's ambition of achieving net zero by 2030.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the council's energy contracts, ensuring a smooth transition to a low carbon future. You will work closely with senior officers and councillors to provide advice on energy and sustainability matters.

You will represent the council at external meetings, collaborating with contractors, partners, and other organisations to drive positive outcomes for the climate emergency and a sustainable future for Southwark.

The post involves managing two positions: the Climate Change & Energy Project Manager and the Sustainability & Energy Officer.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the council's energy contracts, ensuring a seamless transition to a low carbon future.
  • Provide advice on energy and sustainability matters to senior officers and councillors.
  • Represent the council at external meetings, collaborating with contractors, partners, and other organisations.
