Arboriculture and Forestry Training Expert

The role of an Instructor/Apprenticeship Progress Mentor in the Arboriculture and Forestry department at Sparsholt College Group involves delivering high-quality training to learners and commercial clients. This is a full-time position, requiring 37 hours of work per week for 52 weeks of the year.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in arboriculture or forestry, along with proven training experience and at least 3 years' industry experience. The instructor will be responsible for preparing candidates for NPTC competence-based tests in chainsaws, aerial rescue, and climbing, as well as teaching a range of machinery-based courses covering chippers, stump grinders, tractors, and hedge trimmers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training and instructing on short courses to learners and commercial clients
- Work with the Apprenticeship team to guide apprentices through their program
- Carry out regular reviews of apprentices' progress at their workplaces
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in arboriculture or forestry
- Proven training experience
- At least 3 years' industry experience
Salary: Up to £31,368 including a market supplement payment
