About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Database Systems Administrator to join our engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for configuring, monitoring, and improving our PostgreSQL databases.

Your primary focus will be on working with our teams to understand their database needs and making adjustments to ensure optimal performance. You will also be responsible for monitoring and optimizing database performance, analyzing queries to understand how our databases are being used, allocating resources for systems requirements, and planning for future needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Additionally, experience with programming languages like Java, Python, and knowledge of Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
  1. Configure and monitor PostgreSQL databases to ensure optimal performance
  2. Work with teams to understand database needs and make adjustments
  3. Monitor and optimize database performance
  4. Analyze queries to understand database usage
  5. Allocate resources for systems requirements and plan for future needs
Requirements:
  • Experience working with databases, preferably PostgreSQL
  • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with programming languages (Java, Python)
  • Knowledge of Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes
