About the Job
CBW Staffing Solutions is looking for an experienced Handyperson to join our team in Boston Spa, West Yorkshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance, repair, and refurbishment tasks on both joinery and fabric elements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and joinery, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality workmanship. You will be required to work independently and as part of a team, with effective communication and problem-solving skills being essential for success in this role.

Package:
  • A competitive hourly rate up to £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of building fabric elements to identify and address maintenance needs
  • Perform repairs and renovations on fabric components using suitable materials and techniques
  • Install, repair, and maintain joinery elements, including doors, windows, cabinets, and fixtures
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized fabric-related services
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout the facility
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure working environment

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Joinery/Carpentry or Plumbing (desired, but not essential)
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Joiner, Fabric Engineer, or similar role within the facilities management industry
  • Strong knowledge of building fabric materials, construction methods, and repair techniques
  • Proficiency in conducting fabric repairs, joinery installations, and maintenance tasks
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
