Job Title: Distribution Associate (Multi Drop Delivery Driver / Warehouse Operative)
Job Purpose: To deliver products efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction, and assist in the stores area when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver goods to customers professionally, courteously, and safely, ensuring products match the customer's invoice.
- Carry out all deliveries on the expected date by the customer.
- Follow a route to ensure delivery is made in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure the vehicle used for delivery is roadworthy and all lubricant levels are checked regularly.
- Put away goods in the warehouse as soon as possible to allow for maximum efficiency when selecting stock lines against customer orders.
- Stack stock neatly, correctly, and safely to avoid potential accidents.
- Ensure customer orders are selected correctly and made ready for delivery drivers.
- Ensure a safe working environment within the warehouse.
- Assist with general duties within the warehouse as instructed by the Branch Manager.
- Load the van and check goods against the customer's invoice to ensure correct products are loaded for delivery.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times while at work or out on company business.
- Carry out all other associated duties as and when required.
Requirements:
- Be smart, presentable, and enthusiastic to make deliveries to customers in the Poole/Bournemouth areas.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Have good attention to detail.
- A knowledge of the road network would be an advantage.
- A clean driving license is ideally required.
