Audit and Accounts Director Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Audit and Accounts Director to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd, a leading accountancy recruitment agency in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide business and compliance advice to clients, supporting managers with complex client issues
  • Lead audits, financial reporting, and internal control reviews for clients across a range of sectors, including real estate, utilities, and consumer markets
  • Develop audit scope and plans, working closely with internal auditors and other specialists
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and development of juniors, ensuring the continued growth of the audit team
  • Represent the firm at audit committees, shareholder meetings, and AGMs

  • Ensure billing completeness, statutory deadline adherence, and the correct application of accounting standards
