Job Title: Practice Development Lead Midwife, Band 7

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Development Lead Midwife to join our team. As a key member of our maternity services, you will play a vital role in leading the development of practice, training, and education within our Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice, knowledge, guidance, and support to clinicians to enhance care provision across our maternity services. You will lead the facilitation of practice development, training, and education, and work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of practice, training, and education within maternity services
  • Provide expert advice, knowledge, guidance, and support to clinicians
  • Facilitate the implementation of research in practice and education
  • Support the development of policies and procedures
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care

Requirements:

  • Registered Midwife with a strong background in practice development and education
  • Experience of working in a maternity service environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
