Advanced Practitioner Vet Training Role

We are seeking a veterinary surgeon to join our team in an exciting full-time new structured training role involving working with all of our referral services, emergency critical care, and first opinion team.

This comprehensive role offers a unique blend of continuous learning, hands-on experience, and support from a team of experienced professionals, making it an ideal opportunity for career development in veterinary practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working alongside our Referral clinicians to follow challenging cases from start to finish
  • Developing new skills and knowledge through dedicated study days and the University of Nottingham's RCVS Certificate of Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP)
  • Participating in first opinion general practice work, including routine and emergency consultations and surgery
  • Contributing to emergency out-of-hours work, with a structured ECC induction programme and access to telephone support from experienced ECC clinicians

Requirements:

  • Eligibility for enrolment in the University of Nottingham's RCVS CertAVP program
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • RCVS registered, or eligible to register
