Job Overview:

Premier Education UK is seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Wrap Around Care Deputy Manager at Haberdasher's Boys & Girls School.

About the Role:

We are looking for someone who can provide high-quality childcare, deputise for the setting manager in their absence, and contribute to the day-to-day management of the club. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children aged 4-11, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care for children, including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents/carers.
  • Help the setting manager with planning, preparing, and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
  • Support and supervise playworkers and volunteers in the absence of the setting manager.
  • Set up the play space, including moving furniture and play equipment.
  • Provide refreshments and ensure that hygiene, health, and safety standards are met.
  • Administer first aid when necessary.
  • Consult with children and involve them in planning activities.
  • Encourage parental involvement in the club.
  • Promote a positive working relationship with the school.
  • Facilitate good communication with all members of the organisation, parents, schools, and childcare and play-related agencies.
  • Undertake appropriate and relevant training.
  • Keep the work environment healthy, safe, and secure.
  • Work within the framework of the club's policies and procedures, and the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Support the manager with Ofsted inspections.

Person Specification:

  • Experience of working with 4 to 11-year-olds.
  • Understanding the varied needs of children and their families.
  • Understanding the issues involved in the delivery of quality play care.
  • Understanding the issues of equal opportunities.
  • Ability to provide and facilitate safe and creative play.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Sound judgement and common sense.
  • Sufficient understanding and use of English to ensure the well-being of the children.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this role is £12,500 - £14,000 per annum, based on a 12.5 hour week. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer free childcare, free parking, and on-site parking.

Location:

This role is based in person at Haberdasher's Boys & Girls School.
