We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Site Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing setting out and engineering control on site, ensuring the successful delivery of our highway infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in creating a safe working environment, coordinating site engineering control and setting out activities, and providing information to operatives and subcontractors.
- Complete diary sheets and photographic evidence as required, undertake material reconciliations, and ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.
- Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings, produce D and D site sketches, and assist in maintaining quality records.
- Assist in basic planning, monitoring, and programming, and control and minimize waste on site.
- Identify and assist in introducing new processes, techniques, and innovations on site, and ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.
- You will have the ability to work safely, read and interpret data and drawings, and possess advanced setting out techniques and knowledge of GPS.
- You will have relevant Civil Engineering experience, proven leadership and delegation skills, a flexible attitude to work, and problem-solving skills.
- You will hold an NVQ Level or higher, SMSTS, and a relevant CSCS card, and have office expertise and CAD skills.
