Role Overview

We are seeking an exceptional and inspirational leader to join our Senior Management team in the development and management of our Residential Childcare home in Maidstone, Kent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and motivate the management of the children's home consistent with the approach and ethos of the home and to represent the home at a strategic Level.
  • Be the point of contact between the home and Ofsted and ensure the service is fully compliant with legislation, regulatory and good practice requirements, including the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Children's Homes, Quality Standards and Ofsted Inspection Framework.
  • The Responsible Individual will ensure the operation of equality and diversity measures in the local commissioning and delivery of services.
  • Ensure implementation of statutory and home's policies and provide feedback to senior leaders on the effectiveness of policies.
  • Resolve complex operational and service-based problems and conflicts raised through the home's day-to-day running, complaints, and HR process.
  • The Responsible Individual will ensure children and young people access services that meet their health, education, social, psychological, and emotional needs and well-being.

Requirements

We are seeking an exceptional and inspirational leader with a successful background as a Responsible Individual, or spent at least 5 years working as a Registered Manager within a home rated as 'Good' or 'Outstanding'. The ideal candidate should have the necessary abilities, values and skills to excel in the position and should possess the level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
