About the Role

Ferguson Dean is seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to join our financial planning team as a Strategic Financial Planning Manager. This is a unique opportunity to elevate your career by taking on a leadership role with a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Support and Development: Assist the paraplanning team in crafting accurate financial plans and suitability reports, providing guidance on strengths and weaknesses, and improving processes and templates.
  • Strategic Implementation: Monitor workload, manage team workflow, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements, providing updates to the board of directors and operations team.
  • Client-Focused Research: Conduct thorough research and analysis to meet client needs, covering areas such as inheritance tax planning, trusts, bonds, and higher-risk investments like EIS/VCT/BPR.
  • Technical Guidance: Offer technical support to the Client Relationship Team, ensuring advice is implemented accurately and compliantly.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously refine research and suitability report processes and templates, contributing to the overall efficiency of the team.

Requirements

  • Financial Planning Expertise: A deep understanding of the financial planning process, with experience in a paraplanning role.
  • Management Experience: Ideally, experience in a management or supervisory role.
  • Professional Qualifications: Achieved at least Level 4 (CII Diploma in Financial Planning), with a preference for Chartered status or working towards it.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Intelligent Office, FE Analytics, Dynamic Planner, and The Exchange.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
