We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Sorter to join our team in the Team Valley, Gateshead area. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting and organizing incoming parcels accurately and efficiently based on designated routes and destinations.

About the Role

This is a full-time position with an immediate start, requiring a commitment to regular working hours including nights and weekends. As a Logistics Sorter, you will operate conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment to facilitate the sorting process.

Responsibilities:
  • Sort and organize incoming parcels accurately and efficiently
  • Operate conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment as needed
  • Ensure proper labelling and categorization of parcels to prevent errors in delivery
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet deadlines

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting, although this is not a requirement. You will also need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and be able to lift packages of varying weights.

Requirements:
  • Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting (preferred)
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines

In return for your hard work, you can expect a competitive salary of approximately £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. This role also offers discounts at hundreds of high-street stores and supermarkets, as well as wellbeing, financial, and legal aid.
