Senior Cost Manager Role Description

At Turner & Townsend, we are passionate about delivering exceptional results for our clients. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will play a crucial role in helping us achieve this goal.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage commissions of varying sizes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Coach and develop junior staff members, allocating roles and responsibilities to ensure effective cost management.
  • Advising clients on feasibility studies, procurement options, and tendering processes.
  • Conduct cost planning, estimating, and tendering, including producing tender reports and contractual documents.
  • Manage post-contract cost variances, change control processes, and contractual documents.
  • Develop and implement cost management procedures, templates, and products to improve efficiency.
  • Lead bid submissions, identifying new business opportunities and developing professional networks.
  • Manage projects on D365, ensuring timely completion and accurate data cascading.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Commissions are managed to the right quality standards and completed efficiently and on time.
  • Service delivery on commissions is in line with the conditions of appointment.
  • Good relationships are developed with clients and members of the cross-functional team.
  • Commissions are completed to a high standard, with accurate and timely cost reporting.
Requirements
  • A Chartered status in a relevant field.
  • A degree or HNC level qualification in a relevant field.
  • Excellent measurement and cost planning expertise, including use of NRM.
  • Commercially astute with demonstrable negotiation and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
