About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Receptionist/Administrator to join our team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our front-line team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience for all.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional and friendly service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage multiple reception areas, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of patients and visitors.
  • Operate various systems, including patient booking and management software, to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and update systems accordingly.
  • Provide information and support to patients and visitors, signposting them to the most appropriate person or service.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless communication and a high level of patient care.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven experience in a reception or administrative role, with a strong understanding of patient care and hospital procedures.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
