Job Title: Early Years Lead

Barnardo's is seeking an experienced Early Years Lead to oversee and manage the delivery of high-quality services to children and families in Warwickshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to promote the well-being and development of young children, working closely with a range of agencies and partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective timetables for the Children and Family Centres and outreach sites in Rugby, ensuring that services are delivered to a high standard and meet the needs of children and families.
  • Line manage and support a team of Early Years and Children and Young People's workers, providing guidance and coaching to ensure that they are equipped to deliver excellent services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies, including nurseries and schools, to promote the services offered by Barnardo's and identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership.
  • Liaise closely with the admin team to promote services via social media and with the Volunteer Co-ordinator for the recruitment and allocation of volunteers to activities.
  • Ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and other relevant policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience of working in a leadership role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality services to children and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS and other relevant policies and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical way.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and a willingness to travel throughout the Rugby Borough locality.
