An exciting opportunity to work as an Automotive Technician, responsible for the maintenance and repair of vehicles in a mobile workshop setting.

The role is based at our location in Edinburgh, where you will be part of a team that works together to provide excellent customer service and ensure the highest standards of vehicle quality.

What Division will I be working in?

As an Automotive Technician, you will be part of our commercial vehicle rental division, providing services tailored to the needs of commercial vehicle hire customers from locations all across the UK and Ireland.

You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of vehicles, from small vans to large trucks, and will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles meet the highest standards of safety and quality.

Salary

  • Negotiable salary up to £35,000 per annum, with potential for annual increments and performance-related bonuses
  • Overtime opportunities available at a rate of 1.25 times the standard hourly rate

Responsibilities

As an Automotive Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Predominantly workshop-based with mobile capability, taking care of general vehicle repair and maintenance duties
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance inspections to ensure all vehicles are safe and road-tested
  • Preparing vehicles for MOT and servicing them to the highest standard
  • Attending breakdowns and providing timely solutions to minimize downtime
