About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Consulting Manager to join our team at BDO LLP. As a key member of our Actuarial team, you will provide expert advice on a wide range of issues, including assurance services, external and internal audit, corporate governance and risk advisory, regulatory advisory, actuarial loss-reserving and pricing, taxation, solvency and regulatory compliance, management information systems, and litigation support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical actuarial advice and guidance to clients, including assurance services, external and internal audit, corporate governance and risk advisory, regulatory advisory, actuarial loss-reserving and pricing, taxation, solvency and regulatory compliance, management information systems, and litigation support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored advice and solutions.
  • Work closely with our Advisory team to deliver high-quality advice and outcomes to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.
  • Contribute to the development of our Actuarial team, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Strong technical actuarial knowledge, with experience of at least one of the following: reserving for accounting purposes, IFRS 17, risk management, data analytics, or pricing.
  • A willingness to get involved in new areas, including an interest in Data Science.
  • High standard of IT literacy, including a strong working-knowledge of MS Excel and a willingness to learn additional applications.
  • Proven planning and prioritising skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
