Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist - Cannabis Therapies

Montu is a leading cannabis company with operations in Europe and Asia-Pacific. They facilitate access to cannabis through locally integrated ecosystems that streamline the patient experience from end-to-end and set new standards in Cannabis Care.


Mission:
Improve the lives of millions of people through cannabis therapies. Medical cannabis has already been legalized in more than 50 countries across the world over recent years, unlocking a huge potential for medical, wellness, and ultimately recreational markets.

This role is pivotal to improving the quality of care and operational efficiencies. It requires motivation and passion to deliver an excellent service.

This is a full-time Hybrid position with a minimum 3 days a week based in our Reading office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Initial consultations with patients to validate medical history and eligibility for CBPM treatment
  • Remote consultations with patients who have already been prescribed CBPM and need regular monitoring and follow-up
  • Work closely with partner pharmacies to ensure smooth dispensing and delivery of medication to patients
  • Undertake clinical audits of prescribing to ensure safety and compliance to policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate patients' electronic health records as a result of a consultation or prescription
  • Implement changes to medicines that result from MHRA alerts, product withdrawal, and other local and national guidance
  • Work with the governance and operational teams to ensure practices are compliant with CQC standards where medicines are involved
  • Contribute to the efficient running and profitability of the service by monitoring and auditing of medicines
  • Maintain all mandatory training and familiarity with company policies and SOPs
  • Shift-based and flexible working may be required from time to time
  • Attend Clinical supervision to aid reflection of practice
  • Ideal: Undertaken CPD-accredited medical cannabis educational program
  • Excellent computer literacy with good working knowledge of office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence at interacting with patients remotely
