Job Title: Model Risk Management Specialist

Join Adway Associates as a Model Risk Management Specialist and contribute to the development of robust risk management practices across the organization.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Model Risk Management team. As a Model Risk Management Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and validating models used in risk measurement, valuation, and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and validate models to ensure they are fit for purpose and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct independent reviews of models across the lifecycle, including new developments, changes, and periodic validations.
  • Apply quantitative and qualitative techniques to model validation, including challenger models and independent implementation.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes, quantitative techniques, and industry practices.
  • Identify key areas for business assistance and implementation of Group models.
  • Support a robust risk culture across primary stakeholders and business.
Requirements
  • Experience in modelling and/or validation for corporate, retail, and wholesale banking portfolios.
  • Hands-on experience in technical model development and implementation, model validation, and/or model oversight.
  • Proficiency in SAS & Excel, with knowledge of other standard analytics software.
  • Ability to conduct statistical analysis in a coding environment.
  • Knowledge of banking business and associated risk management approaches.
  • Ability to communicate and influence on sophisticated issues.
  • Numerate graduate degree (Level 6) or above from any reputed University.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in risk function either in model development or in model validation.
