Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is £15,500-£17,300 per annum, based on 20 hours of work per week at £16-£18 per hour. This reflects the high level of skill and dedication required to deliver exceptional care and support.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Cerebral Palsy Support Worker to join our team in Andover, Hampshire. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our clients and their families to provide tailored support that meets their unique needs.

Your duties will include engaging with personalised routines, completing daily living activities, administering medication, and providing emotional support and companionship. You will also work collaboratively with our clinical lead nurse and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support that meets the individual's needs and promotes their independence.

We require a support worker who has experience in complex care, can deal with challenging behaviours, and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Engaging with personalised routines inclusive of hoists.
  • Completing daily living activities, including personal hygiene and mobility.
  • Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
  • Providing emotional support and companionship.
  • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
  • Ability to deal with challenging behaviours.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic nature.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
