Children's Services Deputy Lead

Vetro Recruitment is recruiting for a Deputy Care Manager to join our client’s children’s residential home in Taunton, Somerset. As a Deputy Care Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the home and providing exceptional care to young people with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
Main Responsibilities:- Contribute to the management of the home, including supervision of junior staff and maintenance of high standards of care.
- Develop and implement placement and risk management plans in collaboration with the management team.
- Provide support and guidance to young people in daily activities, including family contact, local clubs, and promoting independence and social behaviour.
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
- At least two years’ experience in a similar role or in a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
The salary for this role is £32,637 - £35,644 per annum, and the benefits include free meals while on shift, casual dress code, company pension, 28 days annual leave, access to discounts for shopping outlets, restaurants and cinemas, comprehensive training package, and opportunities to maximise earnings and career development.
