Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Technical

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our Technical team at Langley Campus on a term-time basis.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to access the curriculum and participate fully in college life.

You will work under the direction of the Curriculum Leader for the Technical Department, assisting with teaching, learning, and providing educational and mentoring support for students with SEN.

Your responsibilities will include promoting positive relationships and acceptable behavior, as well as supporting students with their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to learners with SEN to enable them to access the curriculum and participate fully in college life
  • Assist with teaching and learning, providing educational and mentoring support for students with SEN
  • Work under the direction of the Curriculum Leader for the Technical Department
  • Promote positive relationships and acceptable behavior among students
  • Support students with their academic and personal development
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a can-do attitude, be able to build rapport with students and staff, and have flexibility in working with different students.

You will also need to have good organizational, administrative, and planning skills, as well as a commitment to the academic and personal development of students with additional needs.

Good communication skills and the ability to use initiative and think ahead are also essential.
