About the Job Opportunity

As a Tesco colleague in our stores, you will be at the heart of everything we do. We take pride in serving our customers with passion and pride, and we are looking for individuals who share this commitment.

We offer a competitive salary starting from £12.02 an hour, which increases to £13.15 an hour for stores within the M25 area. Additionally, you may be eligible for additional payments based on your location and skills.

The role requires flexibility, with a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. However, if you prefer fewer hours, we have opportunities for that as well, with a minimum of 12 hours. You will have 3 weeks' notice of your scheduled shifts.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Building strong relationships with customers and providing exceptional service.
  • Giving great natural service and being passionate about the products and services in the store.
  • Working across different areas of the store, including service, picking, and replenishment, where needed.
  • Putting into practice the training received to work safely, effectively, and serve customers brilliantly.
  • Making decisions that meet the needs of customers and delivering routines in store that drive service and sales.
  • Taking part in seasonal, community, and charity events to create a great inclusive atmosphere.
  • Being knowledgeable about the store's performance and understanding your role in driving it forward.
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
  • Representing the company by being yourself, living its values, and making everyone feel welcome.
  • At times, accepting deliveries into the store.

Your Requirements

  • A genuine passion for delivering great service and greeting customers with a smile.
  • The ability to build rapport with customers and leave them having experienced a great shopping trip.
  • Taking the initiative and making decisions that are right for customers.
  • Working well within a team and communicating openly with others.
  • Building relationships with colleagues to create a team spirit and celebrating success.
  • Being on time, well-presented, and ready to be a brand ambassador.
