Job Overview

The Transformation Unit seeks a highly skilled Care Operations Specialist to join its team in Liverpool. In this role, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the discharge process, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure efficient data management.

As a key member of the unit, you will be responsible for updating and sharing complex discharge data, creating and maintaining data logs using MS Excel and linked NHS systems, and communicating effectively with staff, patients, and agencies.

A salary of £24,071 - £25,674 per annum pro rata is offered, reflecting the importance of this role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Update, collate and share complex discharge data within the service unsupervised.
  2. Create and maintain data logs using MS Excel and linked NHS systems.
  3. Receive data, reinstating previous records, or adding new referrals.
  4. Manage data entry and maintenance of patient records.
  5. Communicate effectively with multi-department staff, patients, and agencies.
  6. Answer the telephone, clear answerphone, record messages and respond to queries in a timely manner.
  7. Collect and input data on to the Emis Web system, investigating and acting on discrepancies.
  8. Participate in service development activities and mandatory training.
  9. Assist with the training of new clerks within the service.
  10. Support individuals' equality, diversity, and rights.
  11. Contribute to the quality of the administrative support service.
  12. Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent situations.
  13. Understand and adhere to trust policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  14. Report concerns regarding patient care to line manager.
