Head of Religious Education

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Religious Education department at Orchard Park High School. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing an ambitious and inclusive curriculum that prepares our students for success in their academic and personal lives.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving departmental improvement and contributing to the achievement of the school's development plan. You will be a collaborative leader who can engage and motivate staff to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences for our students.

Key responsibilities:

  1. To develop and implement a comprehensive and ambitious curriculum for Religious Education that meets the needs of all students.
  2. To lead the department in achieving high standards of teaching and learning, and to drive improvement through effective coaching and mentoring.
  3. To work closely with colleagues across the school to ensure that Religious Education is integrated into the broader curriculum and that students have access to a rich and diverse range of learning experiences.
  4. To contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and assessment policies, and to ensure that Religious Education is aligned with these policies.
