Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Finance Officer to join our client's rapidly growing team in Wadebridge. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations and supporting the Finance Manager in driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership

You will supervise and mentor one member of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the finance team.

Financial Reporting

Producing accurate monthly management accounts with detailed balance sheet analysis is a critical aspect of this role.

Collaboration and Communication

You will play a key role in attending financial and senior management meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the organization.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts will require your expertise in financial planning and analysis.

Function Development

You will work closely with the Finance Manager to develop and improve the finance function as a whole, identifying areas for process improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency.

Account Reconciliations

Maintaining accurate bank reconciliations and ensuring the integrity of the accounting system (Sage Line 50) is essential for this role.

Aged Debtor Management

You will be responsible for maintaining and administering aged debtor records, ensuring timely payment and minimizing outstanding balances.
