About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at Bannatyne Health Club. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our health club facilities, including maintenance of building systems, equipment, and amenities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and swimming pool equipment.
  • Monitor and coordinate with external contractors to ensure the longevity and reliability of equipment.
  • Address and resolve maintenance issues promptly, including fixing leaks, electrical faults, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoot problems and determine effective solutions, coordinating with external contractors as necessary.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations and club policies.
  • Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments, reporting any hazards or non-compliance issues to the Maintenance Manager/General Manager.
  • Ensure all areas of the club, including gym floors, changing rooms, and common areas, are clear, orderly, and in good repair.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a maintenance role.
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, and being on your feet for extended periods.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driving license and own vehicle.
